* **JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE**
* Provides treatment based upon established plan of care for patients with wounds, fistulas, percutaneous tubes, ostomies, incontinence, and actual or potential skin breakdown. Serves as a resource and consultant to patients and nursing staff. Performs assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care provided. Collaborates with WOCN to implement changes in the plan of care.
Wound care experience preferred.
* **DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION**
* Samaritan Wound Surgery & Ostomy Services treat acute or chronic wounds caused by diabetes, surgery, injury, poor blood flow or other problems. The scope of practice is physician driven and centered around wound vein and ostomy, as well as hyperbaric medicine. In 2015, the Albany clinic added two hyperbaric oxygen therapy chambers further expanding treatment options.
* **EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS**
* Current unencumbered Oregon RN licensure required.
* Healthcare Provider Level BLS required.
* BSN preferred.
* Certification in wound/ostomy/continence care within one (1) year of hire preferred.
* Experience in acute care preferred.
* **AGH Wound Ostomy:**
* If serving as a Hyperbaric resource/supervisor, successful completion of a 40 hour UHMS approved Hyperbaric course required.
